NZ Wine Rater (Steve Bennett MW, Lynette Hudson): 95/100. A complex, multi-dimensional and instantly appealing nose with aromas of limes, grapefruit, crushed sage and positive notes of gunflint and struck-match. An elegant, serious style - dry, taut, and vinous, with a pleasing texture, smokey greengage flavours, zesty acidity and a long, satisfying finish.
Bob Campbell, MW (The Real Review): 94/100. Aromatic wine with appealing nectarine, lemongrass, gooseberry, lime and subtle passionfruit flavours. A punchy sauvignon with
purity, energy and concentration supported by mouth-watering acidity.
Cameron Douglas MS: 93/100. Really fantastic bouquet with aromas of fresh, ripe citrus and white fleshed fruits, plenty of fresh and dried herb and a tropical fruit moment with a green papaya and mango. Delicious on the palate, but also very taut and youthful, no mistaking the acid line, this will calm over the next year allowing more of the fruit to show. Fresh herb and white fleshed fruits along with pink grapefruit and a stony mineral quality all have a voice. A wine that needs some time so I suggest you cellar it and enjoy from late 2023 through 2027+.
James Suckling (JamesSuckling.com): 93/100. Nettles, thyme, green apples and grapefruit on the nose. Medium-bodied, sharp and clean cut with a refreshing core of citrus and green fruit. Vivid.
Michael Cooper: 5 stars. The 2022 vintage is a bright, light lemon/green, mouthfilling wine, with punchy, youthful, passionfruit/lime flavours, crispy, dry and
lingering. Ripely herbaceous, with excellent intensity, it should be at its best mid-2023+

Ein Bouquet von frischen Zitrusfrüchten komplettiert reiferen Tönen von tropischen Früchten, Nektarine, grünem Apfel und einem Hauch von Hollunderblüte. Sie werden zudem ergänzt durch die für Dog Point typische Streichholznote. Saftig und lebendig am Gaumen mit purer Grapefruit, grünem Apfel und tropischen Früchten, die ein lang anhaltendes Finish mit einer erfrischenden, ausgewogenen Säure hinterlassen.

Weinbereitung: Die Trauben wurden mit einen Ernteertrag von durchschnittlich 8,4 Tonnen / Hektar (50hl / ha) handgelesen, anschließend unentrappt gepresst und kalt vergoren, ein Teil mit Wildhefe. Für 4 Monate Alterung in Edelstahltanks. Ohne Schönung abgefüllt.
