Stone Paddock Cabernet Franc 2021
Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS: 93/100. Dark fruited, toasty and baling spices led bouquet. Flavours of dark chocolate and blackberry, roasted plums and some dark clay earthy qualities. Dry, firm, textured and youthful, flavours mirror the bouquet with acidity, tannins and core fruit flavours finding harmony with energy and youthfulness. Best drinking from 2026 through 2030+.
Tasting Note
The wine has a bright red ruby edge, a beautifully scented nose of red currant, blackberry and floral aromas of violets and jasmine, with hints of sweet cocoa powder, and dried herb. The palate has a silky attack with flavours of red currant and cassis black plum with a clean crisp acidity. It is medium bodied with ripe supple tannins, a lively mid palate, and a long, elegant finish.
