The main growing regions
New Zealand Syrah mainly grows in two regions on the North Island:
- Hawke's Bay: Complex, spicy-aromatic, with elegant tannins.
- Waiheke Island (Auckland): Full-bodied, blackberry fruit, and peppery notes.
90% of New Zealand's Syrah vines are located in these regions, which offer ideal conditions for expressive, long-lived wines.
