This blended red of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is a prime example of the style produced from the stony soils of Hawke’s Bay. This elegant wine captivates with bright notes of redcurrant and dark plum, complemented by subtle accents of star anise and cedar, leading into a structured palate with integrated tannins and a harmoniously long finish.

Reviews

review Paritua Stone Paddock Scarlet 2023Cameron Douglas MS: 90/100. (www.camdouglasms.com). Fruity, balanced, dry and ready to drink A bouquet of plums and blackberry, a mix of dried herb and some layers of wood smoke and spice. Very fine tannins with a gentle dusty quality, acidity pulls all the elements together and frames the fruit core nicely. Best drinking from 2025 through 2028.

Tasting Note

The wine has scented bright redcurrant and dark plum aromas with hints of star anise, cedar, and subtle spice. The palate is layered with red fruit, dried herbs, and bay leaf, supported by fine tannins and a long, structured finish. Oak is well integrated, adding gentle spice and balance.
