Paritua Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS: 95/100. Opaque and concentrated hues of dark purple with a ruby and bright purple rim. Aromas of ripeness and concentration, dark berries and barrel smoke, lots of earth and stone then violets and sweet tobacco. Dry, full-bodied power and youthful tension as the wine touches the palate. Flavours of vanilla and clove then blackberry and dark plum, some savoury spice highlights, violets and plum paste. Tannins have firmness as well as polish, acidity has power offering contrast to the fruit concentration. Well made, dry and lengthy. Delicious with best drinking from 2027 through 2034+.
James Suckling (JamesSuckling.com): 94/100. This is fragrant, with aromas of crushed dark berries, fresh herbs and milk chocolate. The palate is plush and medium- to full-bodied, with graphite and creamy tannins that conclude in a rich, firm and flavorful finish. Drink now or hold.
David Walker Bell, WineFolio: 94/100. Cassis, plum, tobacco, orange peel and blackberry merge together in an elegant balance, a creamy texture, and into a dry finish. Along the way there is some heroic tannin on offer – really good grip and structure.
Tasting Note
A rich and vibrant aroma of dark cherry, plum and mocha with a touch of wet stone, graphite with hints of all spice, leather notes, underlining the complex bouquet. A silky textured seamless concentrated palate with fine grained tannins, and cedar, with a hint of vanilla.
