In 1973, as the first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough were being planted, no one could have predicted that this variety would attain superstar status within a couple of decades.

Today, 85% of New Zealand's wine exports are Sauvignon Blanc. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc exports are worth over $1.3 billion annually.

The explosive flavours have dazzled wine critics throughout the world, setting the international benchmark for the style.
