Each year, a limited amount of the Chardonnay predominant Blanc de Blancs No.1 Cuvée is set aside for long term ageing on lees and released after several years – giving it the title “Reserve”. Each bottle of No.1 Reserve has been individually hand numbered and hand labelled.

It retains moisture and keeps the soil cooler than in the sites around the village of Martinborough.  The wine enchants with an intense bouquet of floral notes, mulberries and baking spices. This is a highly limited, delicious wine from Martinborough icon Ata Rangi. The McCrone site catches this seam and delivers a distinctively different aroma and flavour profile than that of the Ata Rangi Pinot Noir.

This delightful, medium-bodied Chardonnay offers vibrant aromas of ripe stonefruit and citrus. The barrel fermentation adds classic toasty notes, complemented by subtle mineral and flinty undertones. An elegant and beautifully balanced expression of Chardonnay.

A soft, rounded Sauvignon Blanc with lush fruit. Pencarrow is the second-tier label of Palliser Estate, but this is a satisfying wine in its own right. More openly accessible, and if anything more up-front in flavour.
