Each year, a limited amount of the Chardonnay predominant Blanc de Blancs No.1 Cuvée is set aside for long term ageing on lees and released after several years – giving it the title “Reserve”. Each bottle of No.1 Reserve has been individually hand numbered and hand labelled.

Only a few bottles available. The limited single-vineyard wine from the Masters vineyard of winemaker Helen Masters. Here, the alluvial gravels are mixed with clay. It retains moisture and keeps the soil cooler than in the sites around the village of Martinborough.  The wine enchants with an intense bouquet of floral notes, mulberries and baking spices. Pungent, exotic fruits and fresh citrus. Delicious. Everything you'd want in a Sauvignon Blanc: Intense aromas of fresh citrus fruits, juicy apples, exotic notes of pineapple. They are excellently complemented by wet stone notes. 

This is a highly limited, delicious wine from Martinborough icon Ata Rangi. The McCrone site catches this seam and delivers a distinctively different aroma and flavour profile than that of the Ata Rangi Pinot Noir.

A soft, rounded Sauvignon Blanc with lush fruit. Pencarrow is the second-tier label of Palliser Estate, but this is a satisfying wine in its own right. More openly accessible, and if anything more up-front in flavour.
